The sequel to the highly acclaimed Blasphemous, which was announced in April, is set to be released in August. Developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Team17, Blasphemous 2 will be available for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox Series on August 24, 2023. It will also be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users in the fall.

As expected in a sequel, Blasphemous 2 promises new moves and weapons. What's even more interesting is that the sequel will place a greater emphasis on personalization, allowing players to customize their skill sets and even modify their desired gameplay style.
Continuing from where Blasphemous' 2021 release 'Wounds of Eventide' DLC left off, Blasphemous 2 takes players back into the cycle of eternal life, death, and resurrection with The Penitent One, who is revived in an unknown realm.
Additionally, a 16-minute gameplay video has been shared.
